The 34th International Festival of the Ordre des Canardiers

The 34th Festival of the Ordre des Canardiers took place at Hôtel Restaurant La Bertelière located in Saint-Martin-du-Vivier, in the suburbs of Rouen. It was attended by members, inductees and friends of the Ordre.
The guests received a warm and friendly welcome from the staff of La Bertelière who, it must be noted, worked in cooperation with the staff of Coudray Traiteur to organise and prepare this gala dinner.
The Festival started with the induction ceremony : 19 new members (Lady Canardiers, Gentleman Canardiers, a Master Canardier and a Member of the Council of the Ordre) were inducted and pledged to promote Rouennaise Duckling, the iconic local recipe.
Then, a very tasty cocktail with cold and warm appetizers was served in a friendly and cheerful atmosphere. Then it was time for the meal, prepared jointly by the staff of La Bertelière and Coudray Traiteur, which started with Melon Gazpacho and Turbot. Then, two teams of Master Canardiers from Coudray Traiteur and Guéret Traiteur prepared Rouennaise Duckling in front of the guests, especially the inductees, who would not have missed it before savouring it. The meal ended with Cheese and Chocolate Succès and finally, the guests moved to the dance floor and enjoyed the music in a very cheerful atmosphere.
Everyone agreed to express their satisfaction after this successful event in a new setting.
