XXXIII Festival Canardiers
The members of the Ordre des Canardiers gathered at Rouen’s Halle aux Toiles on March 25th in order to hold their 33rd Festival. It started with the induction of new members (Gentlemen Canardiers, Lady Canardiers, Master Canardiers and new members of the Board), followed by two special inductions : Master Canardier Romain BAPST, from Brisbane, was inducted Consul for Australia while Bertrand BELLANGER, President of the Seine-Maritime Council was made Canardier of Honour. All the new inductees were given a warm welcome.
Then it was time for the cocktail, a convivial moment when all the guests can chat together before the meal. After appetisers and a fish course, a team from GUERET TRAITEUR and another one from COUDRAY TRAITEUR performed the recipe of Rouennaise Duckling. Then, the guests were served Felix Faure style Duckling. The meal ended with a choice of cheeses and Chocolate Dessert.
